Rangers – Leipzig Preview
Glasgow is getting ready for a huge game on Thursday when Rangers hosts RB Leipzig in a second leg from the Europa League 1/2-finals. One of these two teams will play for the trophy in Sevilla. Let’s preview the game in these soccer predictions daily.
This is going to be a very good game given the fact that just one goal separates these two teams after the first match. Leipzig won the first leg at home with 1-0, but Rangers clearly have some solid chances here. They need just two goals margin to reach the final or just one to get into extra-time. That’s why we expect to see the Scottish team being very motivated to do the job. RB Leipzig won’t be easy, though – they are one of the best German teams at the moment.
The first leg in Leipzig was about to end with a draw, but in the 85th minute Angelino scored a late winner for the Red Bulls. We don’t expect to see Domenico Tedesco’s team being super defensive in the second leg, though – they are not a team that goes all men behind the ball.
The Scottish side must be extra-careful with Leipzig’s biggest star Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman is on fire this season as he already scored 31 goals in all competitions. Nkunku is incredibly dangerous in attack as he scores and creates at the same time. This could be his last season in Leipzig so surely he’d want to win the Europa League trophy.
Meanwhile Rangers had another Old Firm derby against Celtic in the weekend. The game at Celtic Park ended with a 1-1 draw. Jota opened the score for the hosts but Fashion Sakata equalised for Rangers in the second half.
That’s the soccer predictions daily for the Europa League 1/2-finals game between Rangers and RB Leipzig on Thrusday. Let’s see who is going to reach the final.
