Manchester City are currently second in the standings with 10 points. This puts them just two points behind the leader Arsenal. The Cityzens have a record of three wins and one draw since the start of the season and they look in a good shape. The only mistake they did so far was during the 3-3 draw against Newcastle.
On Saturday Pep Guardiola’s team scared its fans in the home game against Crystal Palace. At halftime it was 0-2 for Palace which made the fans worried about the final outcome. Everything changed in the second half, though – the champions scored four times and showed their true qualities.
Erling Haaland became Man City’s hero against Crystal Palace. The Norwegian super star scored his first hattrick in the Premier League. Maybe the first of many? Now Haaland has 6 goals since the start of the season – such a great way to start the campaign. The other goal against Crystal Palace was scored by Bernardo Silva who made another solid game for City.
Guardiola usually rotates his line-up so maybe we will see him doing it against Forest as well. Ilkay Gundogan and Julian Alvarez could start while the summer signing Sergio Gomez is another option from the bench.
The way Erling Haaland started his first season in the Premier League is spectacular. 6 goals scored in 4 matches – you can’t ask for a better debut than this. We all knew how good he is, but Haaland could become even better when coached by Pep Guardiola.
