Inter – Bayern M Preview
Inter Milan hosts Bayern Munich at the San Siro in a second leg from the Champions League 1/4-finals. The Italians have a small advantage after a 2-1 win in Munich, but nothing is decided just yet. Can the Germans cause an upset here? Let’s preview this game in our sure soccer predictions.
It was a dramatic affair at the Allianz Arena last week. Lautaro Martinez put Inter ahead, but Thomas Muller equalised for Bayern. The Bavarians were silenced just three minutes later when Davide Frattesi scored the winner for the Nerazzurri.
Now Inter are in a better position to reach the Champions League Top 4. The manager Simone Inzaghi could even put the same line-up on the pitch. Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram remain the key threats in attack while Calhanoglu, Barella and Mkhitaryan continue to be Inter’s pillar in midfield. Darmian and Carlos Augusto shall keep their places on the flanks.
Bayern Munich’s manager Vincent Kompany has more dilemmas to solve. The Belgian coach wasn’t happy with the way his team performed at home. He received some criticism for not starting Thomas Muller in Jamal Musiala’s absence, so now we could see the veteran back in the team. Serge Gnabry could also start for Bayern, especially after his beautiful goal against Borussia Dortmund last weekend.
Of course, Harry Kane remains the biggest threat for Inter. The English striker has 34 goals in 41 matches for Bayern this season – 10 of them in the Champions League. Kane is ready to use each chance he’d get at the San Siro to score – he’s still deadly in the penalty area.
That’s the sure soccer predictions for the Champions League 1/4-finals match between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich. The Bavarians are not in the best position here, but they still have a chance to do some damage. Let’s see if they are going to do it.
