Scotland – Armenia Preview
Scotland hosts Armenia at the Hampden Park in Glasgow in another game from the Nations League 2022/23 campaign. Stay with us and our free soccer tips for today. Here we go!
For Scotland this is going to be a first game in the competition for the new season. The Tartan Army didn’t play so far because they had to face Ukraine in a playoff match in the World Cup qualifiers. It didn’t end well because Scotland suffered a 1-3 defeat and won’t play at the next World Cup in Qatar.
Now the manager Steve Clarke must find a way to revive his team’s energy after the disappointing result against Ukraine. This could happen by making some changes in the line-up as well. Players like Stuart Armstrong, Jack Hendry and Ryan Christie entered the pitch against Ukraine as substitutes, but they could be starting on Wednesday.
Armenia made an impressive debut in the Nations League for this season. The Mountaineers hosted Republic of Ireland in Yerevan and celebrated a terrific 1-0 win. Armenia are not among the best teams in Europe so every time they beat a strong opponent it’s a moment to remember.
Krasnodar’s Eduard Spertsyan scored the only goal against Ireland. He found the net in the second half and now Armenia are leading the standings in League B’s Group 1.
Right now Armenia are being managed by one of the most experienced Spanish coaches Joaquin Caparros. This gives the team some needed confidence that they could beat better opponents. They already did it once against Republic of Ireland – can they do it against Scotland as well?
That’s the free soccer tips for today for the Nations League clash between Scotland and Armenia in Glasgow. For the Scottish team it’s a first game in the group while Armenia already won their first one. It’s going to be a good one to watch.
